Swimming Holes Are Not Far From Santa Fe!

With the weather beginning to warm up, many of us will soon have to think of ways to cool off. Believe it or not, there are several swimming holes located throughout New Mexico, which offer a refreshing dip in clear water and amazing views and scenery!

In Jemez Springs, the Soda Dam is located right off Route 4, which is the main road to Jemez. The Jemez River has created a hole in the dam that formed a waterfall. Right under that waterfall is an amazing swimming hole which is very popular among both locals and travelers.

Located deep into the Santa Fe National Forest, McCauley Warm Springs is a consistent 85 degrees. There are several pools – some large and some small – and all host beautiful clear water. There is an approximate 1.5 mile hike before you will reach McCauley.
